Last Dark Step

Slain In Fire

For the glory of faulty realms,
Our failing spirits fall first,
Ablaze Into his shining world

Send your fallen messenger to me,
And all whose knees have not bowed down to
him,
And all whose mouths have not kissed him,
Embrace us with devastation.

Because your heart lifted up and you have
said I am a god,
I sit in the seat of a god in the midst of the seas,
Yet you are a created being and not the
almighty
And he is impious in his arrogance which is in
him

For the misery in my decanted blood,
Far from forgiveness,
Erased from existence,
I shall bleed the grounds!
Of my own will,
Of my own accord
The remnants of flesh
my cure.

Yet cursed is the one who trusts in man
And depends on flesh for his strength,
And whose heart turns from the Lord
Impetuous in his arrogance which is in him

Because your heart lifted up and you have
said I am a god,
I sit in the seat of a god in the midst of the seas,
Yet you are a created being and not the
almighty
And he is impious in his arrogance which is in
him

Alone are we in this prosperity,
Past these last dark steps,
