Time To Sleep

Once There Was

Words, constructed to open silence
Built to heal but used to eradicate
Beautiful poetry, inverted to provoke
Asking why we can't love without lies

Keep out of the secret garden
And you'll be rewarded as sane
Cause you don't wanna know it's not ardent
When she dies every night in vain

Escape the pain
For just one more day
Make a wish
See your castle of sand
Spread out with the wind
Far away

The last scapegoat falls
When the crying innocence
Doesn't know what to be in our eyes

I've dreamt of a reality
Where sunset was mine
I've dreamt of a morality
Where truth wasn't missing its spine

In one dream we lie
In the same dream we die

It's time to sleep, now

Life, forcing us closer to death
Meaning there's no sense at all
Some people say it's a river
Some people say it's a fall

Eyes seeing shadows
While searching for sun
Want to give up as we fear
See your castle of sand
Spread out with the wind
Far away

The last scapegoat falls
When the crying innocence
Doesn't know what to be in our eyes
