A estreia do Queen vai ganhar uma nova, e luxuosa, edição com cinco discos de material extra e uma nova mixagem. O álbum que leva apenas o nome da banda, também foi rebatizado e agora se chama "Queen I". O pacote sai no dia 25 de outubro. Nesta sexta-feira (13) um vídeo de "The Night Comes Down" será lançado para antecipar o lançamento.
Apesar do grande número de discos, ele não trará nenhuma música inédita - o material da época não usado no álbum já foi editado em outras reedições. Entre os extras estão gravações para a BBC, versões alternativas, um disco ao vivo e outro apenas com as músicas sem os vocais de Freddie Mercury.
Uma curiosidade é a inclusão de "Mad The Swine" no álbum original. Segundo a banda, essa faixa deveria ter sido a quarta do lado A do disco original, mas uma discussão sobre o som da bateria entre o quarteto e o produtor Roy Thomas Baker acabou deixando-a de fora do LP - a canção só seria lançada oficialmente em 1991, como lado B de um dos últimos compactos do grupo.
"Queen" não fez muito sucesso na época de seu lançamento e suas músicas não foram muito ouvidas ao vivo, com exceção de "Keep Yourself Alive" e "Liar", as duas que saíram como single.
