Megaira

A banda Megaira, fundada em 2009, no Abc Paulista, se diferencia pela mistura dos estilos Thrash/Death com Metal Tradicional e letras voltadas a Mitologia Grega. Formada atualmente por Paulo Schimit (Vocal), Annia Bertoni (Vocal), Paulo Melo (Guitarra), Murillo Vuldroph (Bateria) e Tiago Souza (Baixo), o Megaira traz influências de Black Metal com bandas Thrash/Metal/Melodic dos anos 80 e 90 e suas composições são baseadas na Mitologia Grega contando histórias a partir de estudos com bases históricas.
No ano de 2010, a banda realizou diversos shows na capital paulista, grande Abc, litoral e interior de São Paulo. O ano seguinte foi marcado pela finalização do processo de composição do álbum de estréia. No primeiro semestre de 2012, foi iniciado o processo de gravações de "Power, Lies and Death", com pré-produção e gravações do produtor Luiz Portinari e finalização de produção do produtor Thiago Oliveira.
O resultado final foi um álbum que apresenta características de Heavy Metal Extremo e Metal Tradicional, vocais guturais/death contrastando com vocal heavy metal feminino e uma nova forma de contar histórias da mitologia grega com um toque de nostalgia de grandes bandas do estilo de décadas passadas.
O álbum de debut "Power, Lies and Death" do Megaira será lançado em 2017 e mostrará a nova fase onde o Metal vem se reinventando com força e energia para representar histórias da mitologia grega de uma forma moderna.

Megaira was formed in 2009 at the Abc Paulista region, Brazil, and was soon distinguished as a hybrid crossover act that fuses Trash/Death with Traditional Metal with lyrics inspired by the Greek Mythology. Currently formed by Paulo Schimit (Guttural Vocals), Annia Bertoni (Metal Vocals), Paulo Melo (Guitar), Tiago Souza (Bass) with the participation of the Murillo Vuldroph (Drums), the songs bring influences of Black Metal with 80's Trash / Death / Power Metal and all the compositions are based in historical studies on Greek Mythology.
In the year 2010, the band performed in the capital of São Paulo and in the following year was marked by the completion of the debut album's composition process. In the first half of 2012, the process of recording "Power, Lies and Death" was started with recordings and mastering by producer Luiz Portinari and finished with the adictional mastering and mixing by producer Thiago Oliveira (Warrel Dane).
The result was an album that features Extreme Metal and Traditional Metal with guttural/death vocals contrasting with female heavy metal vocals, showing a new way for telling Greek Mythology stories with a touch of nostalgia from great bands of the past decades.
The debut album "Power, Lies and Death" is expected to launch in 2017 and will show a new brand of Metal reinvented with power and energy to portray ancient history.
