From the red sky of the morning

A cloud fell on a rowan tree

Lingered on its leafy boughs

As I went to stand by its side

The cloud it spoke

In words I did not know

Singing songs of distant lands

I stepped inside

The cloud of mist

Embraced by the misted haze

Listening to the words

The words were strange

I understood the faraway song

I paced around the rowan tree

Touching not the misty cloud

That hung from slender branches

And hovered down under the tree

The cloud it sang to the rowan tree

But when the dawn dispelled the mist

The cloud was nowhere to be seen
